Following our blog published last year when we came across a fake Yonex Z Force II, we’ve received countless queries on people wanting to know more, to check if their rackets are genuine from Yonex.
Take a look at our first case here :
We Have A Genuine Case Of Fake Yonex Racket
With more Yonex new models and technologies being produced by the manufacturer, fake Yonex rackets are on the rise too. They are found on marketplaces, unauthorised websites and shops. Be extra careful when you are paying less than the recommended retail price, you might be getting one that’s not only fake, but you’re supporting the counterfeit industry as well.
As authorised Yonex dealer, we work hand in hand with our distributor Sunrise Sports to ensure people enjoy buying and owning original and genuine Yonex badminton rackets, to make sure our clients get what their money’s worth.
However, we still get some clients who walk in to our shop for stringing service with fake Yonex rackets and we could identify it immediately. Here’s one being brought in by a client and you’ll see how a fake Yonex Astrox 77 racket is like compared to a genuine racket.
Enjoy the post!
Fake Yonex Astrox 77 (this one comes in exactly the same Shine Yellow color as the original) came in with a fake Astrox 77 cover, BG66 Ultimax string & pu grip.
1. Hologram Sticker
Genuine Yonex hologram comes in oval shape. This is way too easy to tell as its shape is rectangular and peels off easily.
Genuine Yonex hologram on strings come in smaller rectangular shape.
2) Unique Serial Number
With technology in place, serial numbers on fake rackets can be made so similarly because it is also being engraved on both shaft and support cap, so we can’t find any clear difference. Guess they have invested some money on this to close the difference gap.
3) Bottom Cap’s Color
Different shades of green between fake and the genuine. Font used in ‘JAPAN’ clearly shows the difference.
In a nutshell
Counterfeit items are unauthorized replicas of the original and are being treated and sometimes sold at the original item’s price. This is not acceptable as the fakes are taking advantage of the value of something worth more.
Because of this we support Yonex and all other original brand manufacturers as we are authorized dealer for Yonex, Abroz, Victor, Apacs, Fleet, Flex Power, Molten, Butterfly and we sell 100% genuine products.
We’ll keep posting new articles pertaining this issue, so keep following us!

Well, I live in Bangladesh which is a 3rd world country as you know. Everyone here demands cheaper products. So basically, all the fake products arrive here from China. The good quality replicas are regarded as “originals”. Previously, it was easy to differentiate the Chinese ones from originals. But its getting difficult by the day. Even the sunrise website is not working. Some help will be appreciated to recognizing Yonex raquets then that mentioned above.
Hi Ashfiqur,
We are certainly saddened by the fake racket industry that’s going on around. This brings us to write this blog in the first place to educate fans of Yonex to help curb the replicas activities.
This is the link where we explained in more details on how to check your racket’s authenticity.

Or you can purchase only from authorised dealers.

Damn i accidentally bought a fake one….how does it compare in play to the real one?
Hi Elvis,
Sorry to hear that. What you could do now is to report to your country’s distributor on where you bought the fake racket and hopefully, action can be taken.
The feel would vary from every rackets, you may buy an authentic racket from any seller you trust.
Hope this helps!
