Can The World’s Lightest Badminton Racket Really Perform? Insights on Apacs Feather Weight X Special (World’s Lightest Badminton Racket)

Apacs Feather Weight X Special

What’s in this racket that everyone is crazy about?
Is it because it has the lightest weight at 58g? Or is it the fact that it can really perform?

Let’s dissect these factors to understand more.

Existence of a 58g racket.
2015 is the year when Apacs produced the most unique badminton racket of all time.
Despite the racket’s unbelievable 58g weight, started selling it without realizing that the racket could take on the super light rackets market by storm until now.

Then with the help of Apacs, has its first exclusive limited edition Apacs Feather Weight X badminton racket used to celebrate its 10th Anniversary and that very racket continues to gain popularity.

Recently it has emerged as a new racket with a new design called Apacs Feather Weight X Special which is in black gold color.
We have sold close to 2 thousand of these 58g rackets so far.

We got Jag’s team from to examine the Apacs Feather Weight X closely and had it reviewed. The results came very positive, it’s been reviewed as a good power producing super light racket. He was quite surprised by how well it performed and the combination of specifications make this a racket a go-to racket for beginners to intermediate.

This is part of its review feedbacks.
“Thumbs up, this racket performs well. It defies odds, can smash at pretty reasonably pace, I wasn’t really expecting. Quick to use. Overall game is good, given its specs and price. Offers good control and power. Clears and backhands are not too bad.”– View video here.

There were even some players who have told us that they switched to Apacs Feather Weight X to wind down a little after feeling tired of using heavier rackets. And there are also people having shoulder and elbow pain who used the racket and came back saying that their pain has gone.

While a super light racket may not be ideal for every player, when used properly, super light rackets are very helpful as it’s so light and easy to maneuver after getting used to.

Apacs is very famous in producing high quality light racket frame that we have a whole series available HERE.
Apacs Feather Weight X Special’s frame is strong and it allows such weight to carry the impact of hits and shots from opponents. Its frame is made from 30 Tonne Japan Graphite + AHSF + Hexagon Throat + IPN while its shaft is built with 24 Tonne Graphite.

The racket is developed with the new “Hexagon Throat” design which increases the Speed of the swing and extra damping function, overall improve execution with Power and more Control.

It is also built with the unique shaft construction which tapers down at the top of the cap (thicker diameter) to the T-Joint (slimmer diameter). This design raises the flex point of the shaft higher up towards the head, it gives the racket greater power and a more precise shot.

Many people have asked us if the racket breaks easily. Apacs Feather Weight X Special is proved to be more durable in its weight category, if they are strung at recommended 23-25 lbs. The only possible reason of breakage is if a player has arm that’s too strong and may need a heavier racket instead.

The racket arrived very quickly (5 days). The racket being very light and the handle small, it means that I have been able to tailor it to my exact specifications (1 – 2 gram lead strip on the head and built the handle up as required). With the Abroz power string, even at 70 years old I can clear forehand and backhand from the back of the court.

Great light racket. Initially your game may be off in terms of timing but once you get the hang of it, the racket does deliver a great deal of control and also power although a bit less than head heavy rackets. More importantly, delivery was prompt with periodic updates.

It’s a very good racket, very fast in speed . Pretty good in smash coz it’s ultra light body and head heavy very good balance.

Shelly Oh (18/04/2018)  5 stars on Apacs Feather Weight X

The racket is very light! I like that I have much more control and faster return speed. I notice I play better with this racket than my yonex voltric Lee Chong wei. If you’re looking for a lot of power I don’t think this racket is the best but it’s great if you have less strength and you want more control and a faster swing.

Hexagon Throat

The unique hexagon throat boosts the function of built-in T-Throat Graphite by up to two times, and reduces air resistance to provide consistent and stable shots.

High Modulus IPN

IPN (Inter Penetration Networks) combines the high modulus and high temperature properties of the engineering thermoplastic with the improved tribological properties. Resulting in a smooth surface quality and high mechanical performance.
